Leesport Animal Hospital Staff and Doctors would like to thank our clients for their patience, support, and understanding during these trying times. We hope you and your family all are staying safe and healthy.

Over the past couple of months, we have had to alter our hours and the way we provide veterinary care to your beloved pets and our patients in order to comply with directives from the governing bodies we are subject to and to slow the spread of COVID-19. The safety of our clients, patients, and staff remains a top priority for us. As a veterinarian hospital, one of our main duties is to not only protect animal health, but human health as well. Therefore, we must continue to follow guidelines put forth by the CDC, USDA, PA Departments of Health and Agriculture, and the State Board of Veterinary Medicine. Lastly, we are licensed by the state, so we must ultimately follow the directives from our governor to do our part to minimize the impact of the pandemic and to help protect the health of our community. We fully support those guidelines based on science and public health.

We want to assure our clients that Leesport Animal Hospital is fully committed to providing the best possible care for your pets, while maintaining social distancing practices necessary to protect the health of our clients and staff. We will continue to provide curbside services only, as it is extremely difficult to practice social distancing within our facility. Curbside service is both labor intensive and time consuming, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we strive to accommodate the needs of our clients and provide care to our patients as safely as possible. Please stay in your car upon arrival in our parking lot, give us a call at (610) 926-8866, and a staff member will assist you with further details and instructions. Please do not come to the door or attempt to come into our office without permission. We do not prefer this any more than you do, but rest assured that your pet will get the same loving care and attention you have been used to.

We are taking extra precautions at our facility to ensure we keep everyone safe and comply with state and municipal guidelines. Our staff is required to always wear a mask and our clients are also required to wear a face mask or covering when interacting with a staff member in our parking lot for curbside service. When a staff member comes out to escort or return your pet, please do so outside of your vehicle while properly wearing a mask. Our staff members are not allowed inside our clients’ vehicles.

Once again, we thank you for your patronage. We look forward to the day when the pandemic is behind us and we can welcome you back into our facility. We miss the human/pet interaction as much as you do! We encourage everyone to continue to follow the guidelines of experts in public health and infectious disease. We will get through this together if everyone will do what is best for us all.
