Bio
Dr. Priebe is a native of Berks County and a graduate of Exeter High School. He lives in Womelsdorf with his wife, four dogs, and one cat. They have two daughters who are college graduates and have one grandchild. He has been the managing partner and lead veterinarian of the practice for over 12 years and will soon celebrate his 27th anniversary in practice. He interned at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 1992. He received a BS in Veterinary Science in 1989 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1991, graduating third in his class with high honors. Prior to starting his veterinary career, he was a Research Fellow for the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute and a Wildlife Biologist for Harrison Ranches in Texas. He had previously earned an MS in Animal Science from Texas A&I University in 1985 and a BS in Wildlife Management from West Virginia University in 1980. Between both careers, he has worked with both wild and domestic mammals and birds, from pet mice to bison and parakeets to eagles. His most memorable experience was tranquilizing antelope in the wild from a helicopter in Texas, but finds surgery to improve pets lives the most rewarding. Besides surgery, he is also most interested in internal medicine and diagnostic ultrasound. Naturally his favorite pastimes revolve around his family and friends, pets, wildlife, and the outdoors.
