If you have an emergency after the hospital has closed, please call the regular hospital phone number at 610-926-8866. Our answering service will pick up your call and take all of your information. The answering service will then contact the doctor on call. This hospital shares on call with Wyomissing Animal Hospital. The doctors at Leesport (Priebe and Elo) and Wyomissing (Wagner, Hampson, Becker, Melniczek, Austin, Ramsey, and Flannery) work together on a rotating schedule to provide emergency services for clients of both hospitals. After you speak to the answering service, the doctor on call will be paged and should call you shortly with recommendations for the best course of action for you pet. All of the information about your pet and the emergency will be relayed to Leesport Animal Hospital on the next business day. The eight rotating doctors will cover our patients' emergencies Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 11:00 pm nightly. Depending on the doctor on call, your pet may be seen at either hospital. If your pets' illness is beyond what the doctor can provide at our hospitals, you may be referred to one of the regions 24-Hour Emergency Hospitals.
